The Gamakatsu Octopus Circle hook boasts all of the advantages of a Gamakatsu Octopus hook but with the added bonus of a high percentage self-setting hook-up ratio. When taken deep in the mouth or throat of fish, this hook will slide forward until it reaches the shelf area of the mouth where it will then rotate itself into position, usually in the corner of the jaw. This results in a solid hook up and reduces the number of fish harmed by taking a hook too deep.
Like the standard Octopus hook, this hook has an up eye for snelling. The super sharp "hang nail" point is set at a 90 degree angle from the shank of the hook and is offset.

O'Shaugnessy Hook
This classic hook pattern is very versatile from use as a bait hook to a lure hook for Marlin or Tuna. Other popular uses are as single hooks for jigging lures to use as Saltwater Fly hooks. This pattern is non-kirbed and features a straight eye on a medium shank length hook. The wire gauge is heavy but features the sharpest point possible due to Gamakatsu's famous chemical sharpening.

Gamakatsu is proud to introduce the new Assist jigging lure stinger hooks. This new accessory will change the way anglers everywhere fish vertical jigs. The Problem: Fish sometimes will strike the head of a vertically jigged lure and miss the hook altogether. Fish don't always give you a second chance. The Solution: The new Assist hook eliminates that. This unique accessory is designed to hook any fish that strikes the head of a vertically jigged lure. The hook itself is a super short shank hook with a round wide gap, long sticky sharp curved point, and micro out-barb. The out-barb prevents the hook from catching on or chaffing the mainline. A loop made from super-strong braided line is firmly attached to the hook and is used to fasten the Assist hook to the lure.
